Application Guidelines for Dispersants
Dispersant – Application Guidelines for Construction Coatings Production
1. Product Overview This dispersant is a high molecular copolymer dispersion aid specifically designed for water-based architectural coating grinding systems. It effectively reduces slurry viscosity, decouples flocculated pigments and fillers, while enhancing coating fineness, gloss, hiding power, and long-term storage stability.
2. Core Functions: Strongly wetting and dispersing titanium dioxide, heavy calcium carbonate, talcum powder, and other powders to reduce grinding viscosity and improve production efficiency; inhibiting sedimentation, coarse particle return, stratification, and hard precipitation; enhancing paint film gloss, hiding power, and color rendering; reducing floating pigmentation and color flares; improving color mixing stability; and extending coating storage duration.
3. Application Scope: Latex paint for interior and exterior walls, water-based color paste, primer, intermediate coating, textured coatings, and multi-color coating grinding dispersion.
4. Production Construction Step Addition Phase: Slurry Preparation and Grinding First addition sequence: Water → Dispersant → Defoamer → Antifouling Agent → Powder Dispersing speed: 800–1500 r/min, dispersion time: 15–30 minutes Recommended addition amount: 0.3%–1.5% (based on total formulation weight)
5. Environmental Requirements: Production should be conducted at room temperature in a well-ventilated and dry environment free from strong acids or alkalis.
6. Storage and Maintenance: Store in a sealed container at 5°C–35°C, protected from freezing, direct sunlight, and high temperatures. Shelf life: 12 months.
7. Precautions: Strictly control the addition amount, as excessive dosage may affect water resistance and foaming performance.
