merit
(1) High dispersion efficiency: Dispersant N5040 requires minimal dosage and does not necessitate auxiliary dispersants during dispersion. It has been tested with various pigments.
The dosage test results of Dispersant N5040 demonstrated that its optimal dosage is relatively low while maintaining minimal grinding viscosity. The dispersion viscosity curve exhibits a flat L-shaped profile, indicating that excessive dosage does not cause adverse effects. Therefore, when selecting an appropriate dosage of Dispersant N5040, the optical and physical properties of coatings remain stable even with variations in pigment content.
(2) Excellent viscosity stability: Dispersant N5040 ensures highly stable viscosity in coatings, with no viscosity changes even after thermal aging tests (exposed to 50°C for over one month).
(3) Excellent light retention: When Dispersant N5040 is applied to both glossy and semi-gloss paints, it achieves superior initial gloss and maintains good light retention even after thermal aging.
(4) Comprehensive color rendering capability: Dispersant N5040 enhances color matching properties. When formulating color pastes, this dispersant is commonly added to coatings to improve color matching performance. Experimental results demonstrate that using Dispersant N5040 as a pigment dispersant in color mixtures not only eliminates the need for wetting agents but also…
It affects color mixing performance while enhancing water resistance and reducing costs.
(5) Compatibility with active pigments: Dispersant N5040 can be used in combination with active pigments such as zinc oxide. For instance, when employed as the sole dispersant in grinding media, the zinc oxide content can be reduced to 2.0%. The resulting paint exhibits a flat viscosity curve and maintains stable viscosity (with a viscosity difference not exceeding 2 KU) after one month of thermal aging testing at 50°C. No additional dispersants, wetting agents, or nonionic surfactants are required.
